Eskom seeks market information on the design, manufacture, transport, installation and commissioning of outdoor 88–132 kV hybrid dead-tank compact Mixed Technology Gas-Insulated Switchgear (MTGIS), together with training for Eskom staff in the KwaZulu-Natal Operating Unit. The RFI is intended to inform Eskom’s technology and procurement strategy, including understanding market capability, solutions, indicative costs and lead times. The stated requirement is three units for named KwaZulu-Natal substations and one spare unit.
