Overview
Transnet SOC Ltd seeks to prequalify a private-sector partner for an integrated rail-and-port corridor transaction linking the Northern Cape manganese basin with the Port of Ngqura. The transaction envisages two ring-fenced SPVs: SPV1 for development, financing, operation and maintenance of the Ngqura Manganese Export Terminal and integrated corridor and rail operations; and SPV2 for financing, rehabilitation, renewal, maintenance and lifecycle management of the rail infrastructure. This RFQ is a prequalification stage, not a request for detailed technical, commercial or financial proposals. Respondents must qualify for both SPVs to be shortlisted for the subsequent RFP.
